I was looking forward to getting my Kindle 1 jacket but was quite disappointed. The jacket does not cover the entire Kindle. The top of the Kindle sticks out from the cover a good quarter to half an inch. I love the cover itself and the feel of it but I don’t feel that my Kindle is protected if it sticks out at the top. I looked at the reviews before I bought this and didn’t see any comments about the size. Can’t figure that out.

My new kindle and jacket just arrived today, the kindle is fab and I love it, the jacket is wonderful matches my new Dolce & Gabbana bag. So cool.. you will enjoy this jacket, I’m getting ready to ordre the red one next.

I rarely write product reviews but I just had to comment on the quality of this cover. It is truly beautiful and very well made. Every stitch is perfect and the design is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. Folding the tab around the back and inserting it into the slot creates a sort of “glove” that lets me hold it comfortably turn pages almost effortlessly. I like it so much I ordered the light to go with it. This company obviously cares about quality control.

This jacket is for the Kindle 1, not the 2.
It’s nice, certainly a lot nicer than the cover that was included by Amazon. It holds your Kindle securly. Unlike the Amazon cover it holds the kindle on all corners. But therein lies the problem. Since the on/off and the online switches are on the back of the Kindle 1 they aren’t all that easy to get to. I never turn my Kindle off but I do need to go online to d/l books. I’ve found that if i slip the top-right corner off (it has some elastic in it) you can slip a finger under the Kindle to move the switch.
This has been on closeout for awhile – I’d recommend it.

Very nice leather. Fits the Kindle perfect. Does a much better job than the holder that came with the Kindle. No complaints. Nice product.
