  1. Enjoyable little wine blog for those times I’m in a “gracious living” mode and want to get away from the usual news fare offered by my New York Times and Associated Press news blogs. When you sign up, you’ll initially get about a dozen wine articles, drawn from the “Vinography” Web site and nicely formatted for your Kindle, with subsequent updates to the tune of about one or two articles per day. Not exactly a torrent of info, but hey, what do you want for a small handful of change per month?

Articles are generally informative and engaging, and perfectly enjoyable for anyone who appreciates a good glass of wine from time to time. You certainly don’t have to be a wine expert (I’m not) to get a little quality diversion out of “Vinography”.

Small quibble: Like “Amazon Daily”, this blog is often link heavy, and, worse, in the middle of an interesting article sometimes wants you to click on a link to “read the full story”, which sends you to the “Vinography” Web site, which isn’t as user-friendly on the Kindle. There’s no reason that, in these instances, we couldn’t have been given “the full story” right there where we started to read it.

But these quibbles aren’t deal breakers, as most of the time you get interesting, entertaining wine articles of varying lengths and tone that you can read and enjoy without incident. Just pour yourself a nice glass of Chardonnay first. Properly chilled, of course.

Note: Amazon frequently updates the presentation and functionality of Kindle blogs and periodicals, so as this review gets older, it may no longer accurately describe the current version of this product.
